Abstract
One of the important stories of the Holy Quran is the story of the creation of Adam (AS) and Eve and their eating of the fruit of the forbidden tree. In the verses related to this story, the question arises that according to the twenty-first verse of Surah Taha, the rebellion of Adam (AS) is of what kind and is it in conflict with the status of the infallibility of the prophets? Many scholars with different approaches for and against the issue of the infallibility of the prophets have expressed their views on the verse. In this study, after criticizing the views of the opponents of the infallibility of the prophets and proving the inadequacy of the rational reasons of those in favor of this issue, using rational reasoning as a deterrent to choosing the meaning of sin and error for the word "rebellion", meaning ignoring the guidance. It is defined as the only possible meaning and serious meaning of God of this word. The narrations related to the verse have also explained the quality of assigning this meaning as a confirmation of the selected opinion in the research
