Abstract
Quranists are a group of Muslims who consider the Quran to be the sole source of legislation and legislation in Islam and, on this basis, reject the Sunnah as a base. This group began its official activity a century ago and today still has supporters in some countries, including Pakistan and Egypt. Quranists listed reasons for their theory and claim and pointed out some problems with the Sunnah. Their most important reasons and doubts are: the completeness and comprehensiveness of the Quran and the lack of need for the Sunnah, the lack of revelation of the Sunnah and the exclusiveness of revelation to the Quran, the divisiveness of the Sunnah, the uncertainty of the attribution of the Sunnah to the Prophet (PBUH), the monopoly of the right to legislate with God, the exclusivity of the Prophet (PBUH)'s guidance to his lifetime. In this study, we aim to provide a brief description of the activities of this group and its leaders, as well as to answer these doubts and prove that the Sunnah, alongside the Quran, as the expounder and commentator of the book, expresses the teachings and rulings of religion.
